Today, investors have greater access to information than any previous time in history. With just a few short keystrokes on a computer keyboard, investors can tap into the global arena of advice, analysis, ideas, opinion and statistics.
Information about a publicly traded company from any point on the globe is readily available from no fewer than a dozen financial portals and websites. In the majority of cases this information is redundant due to the fact that the origin of the data and information
is the annual reports and corporate websites of the respective companies.
The downside of this information windfall is that much of it is reformulated, regurgitated and rehashed. Indeed, it is rare to find information that is uniquely original and that contributes significantly to the achievement of investment goals and objectives.
The Investment Quality Trends approach resides on the twin pillars of quality and value. Our Criteria for Select Blue Chips defines what is quality and our Profiles of Dividend Yield defines the recurring bands of value. To better help investors visualize our approach; IQ Trends produces proprietary charts that graphically display the results of our research and analysis. Unique to our charts are the areas of Undervalue and Overvalue that overlay the price history in stair step fashion. These charts are unique and cannot be obtained from any other source.
In each issue, with the exception of the first of the quarter, IQ Trends publishes four of our proprietary charts. These charts range from new entries into the Service, new entries into the Undervalued category or modified Profiles of Dividend Yield, companies in the Timely Ten, or companies that exhibit characteristics that show promise.
As a value added benefit to our subscribers, IQ Trends now allows access our archive of proprietary charts. No longer will subscribers have to wait for their favorite company to fall into one of the above mentioned categories for its chart to be published.
If you are new to the site and Investment Quality Trends and are not yet familiar with our charts, a sample chart is presented below to familiarize you with the format and layout.
